 Q: How long will it take to clean my carpets?

A: On average, it will take approximately 20 minutes per room. This time can vary greatly depending on the amount of furniture to be moved, how soiled the carpet is, and any necessary spot removal treatments.


Q: How long will it take for my carpet to dry?

A: Dry time is affected by humidity, temperature, and airflow to the area. It generally takes between 4-8 hours for the carpet to dry, depending on the above-mentioned variables. Using fans in any rooms cleaned and turning your air conditioning or heating system on, (depending on the time of year) can help accelerate drying time. When applying carpet protection it can take longer but don’t worry, you can still walk on the carpet


Q: I have heard that cleaning my carpet makes it soil faster. Is this true?

A:  The problem results from residues being left in the carpet, which attract dirt. Usually this is caused by the use of soap in the cleaning process that hasn’t been rinsed out completely. Our specially formulated solution and hot water extraction cleaning process leaves no residue behind to attract dirt.


Q: How often should I have my carpet cleaned?

A:  Most major carpet manufactures recommend you have your carpet cleaned every 12-18 months. Depending on how many people are living in the home, if you have pets and how often you vacuum. In fact, if your carpet came with a warrantee you are required to have periodic professional cleaning to maintain your warrantee. 


Q: What should I do if I spill something on my carpet?

A:  Spills and pet accidents are the major two reasons for re-appearing spots. Time is critical! The first thing you should do when addressing spills or pet accidents is to place a clean dry towel over the spill and stand on it. You must absorb as much of the spill into the towel as possible. Letting the spill soak into the backing of the carpet will increase the risk of re-appearing spots in the future.


Q: What can I do about pet odors?

A:  It depends on the severity. General pet odors can be eliminated with our "Odor Control" application during the cleaning process. "Odor Control" contains active enzymes that actually digest the bacteria that are creating the odor. Keep in mind; liquids (urine) can soak through the carpet and into the padding. More sever pet odors that are in the padding may require removal and replacement of the affected padding.


Q: How often should vacuuming be done?

A:  The frequency of vacuuming is determined by the amount of wear your carpet gets. Areas can be classified into heavy and light traffic. This is based on the amount of “use” your carpet gets in these areas. For heavy traffic areas, vacuum the “traffic lanes” daily and the entire area twice weekly. In less traveled areas, vacuum the traffic lanes twice weekly and the entire area once a week. Dirt and debris need to be removed to keep the carpet looking its best longer. Walking on dirty carpet allows the soil particles to work their way down into the carpet fibers, making it more difficult to remove and leading to possible damage. By vacuuming regularly, you will remove these particles from the surface before they can get to the fibers and create a problem.
