How To Remove Gum From Carpet
Steps to Remove the Gum: The Freeze Method
Place several pieces of ice and put them in a plastic baggie. Place the bag of ice on the gum, making good contact of the ice to the gum until the gum becomes frozen hard.
Use a spoon or dull knife to scrape it away. Make sure you dispose of the gum you have removed as the gum will soften and can stick again. Re-freeze the gum as needed until the gum has been removed.

Heat the gum using the hair dryer until it becomes pliable. Be careful not to overheat the area or it may burn the carpet fibers. Once the gum is soft gently pull it out of the carpet fibers.
It may help to cover your hand with a plastic bag or rubber glove so you can use your fingers to work the gum out of the carpet. Remove as much as possible, then move onto the next method to remove the remaining gum.
